The Ranger GTi is nearly finished! I took a day off work & made up a mounting for the cone air filter, then re-fitted the front & added a flange to the GRP moulding that I made to fill in the hole I cut for the Escort air filter that I didn't use. I then added mesh to the rear bumper to fill in the gap between the square Rickman lights & the round ones I've fitted & added a reflector, & wired up the fron tights via a water-proof connector so the front's much easier to take off in the future.

MoT next week?????

With EFi, you only need to turn the engine over, the fuel is squirted in & away in goes, so you can start it in gear & drive clutchless - OK not much of an advantage .........

To fit EFi though you either need quite a small battery, or like I did move it somewhere else because the penum & EFi distributer will be very close if not touching.

Fuel economy was better but only by 2-3 MPG, which is 10% I guess

T
