Measurement Please
Feb 24th, 2010, 12:41pm

Hello everyone,
Can any member please give me the measuremen of a mark 1 escort steering column fitted in a Ranger. (or even not in a Ranger)
The measurement I am looking for is from the steering column dash mounting to the end of the column without the steering wheel, just to the end of the threads.
I'm looking for the measurement for an idea I have in mind.
Thanks in anticipation, from past experience of the forum members I just know that someone will have the information Smiley
Good luck,
Bernard

My column is mark 2, Bernard. I assume it's different but for the record the steering wheel thread end to bracket hole centre measurements are 155mm on one side and 165mm on the other. (The bracket sits slightly askew. I don't think mine is bent!)

Hi JJ
Many thanks for that info.
I am assuming like you that the MK1 &MK2 have the same measurments, just diiferent splines and thread.
Maybe something to do with metrification.
Many thanks good luck,
Bernard
